             abstract = "The city of Aruj{\'a} is located northeast of the S{\~a}o Paulo 
                         Metropolitan Region and at Green Belt Biosphere Reserve, between 
                         the Cantareira and Itapeti saws, along the Presidente Dutra 
                         highway and riverbanks of the Baquirivu Gua{\c{c}}u and Jaguari. 
                         The study region presents a very visible environmental 
                         preservation, being considered one of the lungs of green area in 
                         the State and in the Metropolitan Region of S{\~a}o Paulo. As of 
                         the natural resources, using best available and eco-efficient 
                         technologies the city have, for example, a system of selective 
                         garbage collection considered the best in the High Tiet{\^e} 
                         Region. As it is an area that is in great urban expansion and is 
                         significant for all state, it is necessary to carry out a study of 
                         anthropic transformations through the application of geoprocessing 
                         techniques. The objective of this work is the establishment of the 
                         Potential Fragility (FP) and Emergent Fragility (FE), based on 
                         geoprocessing techniques, with the purpose of promoting 
                         environmental planning and territorial management actions 
                         appropriate to the municipality of Aruj{\'a}. The analysis 
                         highlight that the intense urban expansion in the study area can 
                         achieve the northern and west regions of the city, affecting the 
                         maintenance of environmental quality and, consequently, ecosystem 
                         services, this fundamental human existence.",
